Our vision was to nurture a space overflowing with God’s beauty, restoring strength, truth & love while celebrating life’s most amazing moments. Seeing our farm not as our own, but as a gift for us to manage. It is our desire to welcome others along with treasured weddings and events in order to give that “old time” dream some wings. Our goal is to allow these 70+ acres to ease your mind, add an amazing backdrop for your photos and to create many memories to last a lifetime.Seeing many old barns that have weathered many storms makes you feel hopeful. In time, worn wood reminds us that storms produce character and beauty. It reflects endurance and strength through rain and snow, shelter and warmth on a crisp winter day and productivity and life in the summer time. Barn wood is reminiscent of all things earthy, natural and organic….an icon of simplicity. For many, having wood that’s rich in history and character adds a certain beauty, charm and story to its surroundings. One of the beauties of reclaimed wood is the patterns, lines, markings and knots that tell its unique story. This story doesn’t end when this wood is used to construct a new barn; it just starts a new chapter.
A barn is more than a structure; it is a symbol of hard work, endurance, dedication and faith. Adam and Angela sought to build a place where family and friends come together, where many memories can be made. We feel it’s good to know a 200-300 years old piece of wood that someone thought was useless is now extremely valuable because we’ve done something with it. We have put our personality to it by incorporating the old barnwood in order to beautify this barn. Our team was careful to protect and preserve the barn wood to create the charm that makes this location so appealing and memorable, including a classic countryside landscape with shady pines, complete with historic architecture and scenic views of a 5-acre pond. Whispering Pines offers a unique photo opportunity in every direction.
If we could only imagine what those old walls had seen or what they had endured. Every knot, crack, nail hole, or blemish offers a glimpse into the past. This barn takes you on a trip down a country lane and this wood it is constructed from is telling you stories of character. The barn is the first thing that is built on the land and is the keeper of all the secrets. When you stop and breathe it in, the barn comes to life to reveal its secrets to you.
